Speaking Up about Home Staging

A Fresh Look At Staging and ReDesign....

That's right, our national training website, www.StagingAndRedesign.com has a fresh new look!  Bevin and I have been working really hard at this for the last few weeks and it was finally debuted last week at the IRIS Conference.  We opted to redesign the website because we wanted it to feel clean and fresh.  We wanted to showcase our work without any stock photography (our old one was also stock free) and we wanted to make it easier to navigate.

I hinted at the renovation in my blog Taking a Closer Look at Staging.... I think you'll see how we utilized some of those photographs in a fun way that really showcases what we do as professional stagers.

I would love to hear what you think about the look of the new site... if you have any suggestions to make it better, please share....

I thought it was very well put together, although I don't know what it looked like before.  The only thing I think maybe should be more in the forefront and not have a client dig so deep to get ... is the testimonials.  What others say about you is important in a decision to hire you.  I'd make it a big link on the left.

Tammy - Thanks for your input.  We don't have our testimonials on the front page because primarily this is a training website.  Our local consumers, who want to hire us, go to www.RedesigningCharleston.com which will soon get a makeover as well.... Thanks again!

Hi Melissa. I think it looks great the only thing I would change...and its just a silly little visual preference I have....is instead of the drop down at the top for different pages I prefer buttons. Braoder topics and then on the page different subject buttons. But like I said thats just my weird preference. Its very user friendly which is important and it is visually pleasing. Congratulations!!! :)

It is beautiful Melissa!  FYI-I clicked on "calendar" and it opened-but did not when I clicked on "the company"  "training"  "staging" or the "portfolio"

Cathy - thanks for letting me know.  I know some of the actual links were disabled while we are working on them, but the drop downs in those areas should have worked.  Would you mind double checking them for me.  They are working on my computer, but if you didn't see them, then that's a problem!!

Everything else works for me-it is quite an extensive website.  I just love all the information you have and it is done so professionally and very, very classy!!   Quite an accomplishment Melissa!  You must be very proud!!!!

Thanks Cathy!  Yes, I am very proud of it.... it seems like we've been working on this forever!!  We still have a few things to complete, but it was ready enough to go live this week.

Pamela - I'm sorry, somehow I missed your comment in there!  I'm glad I re-read!  I guess we chose drop downs because we have so much content on the site that we wanted to make sure it was visually pleasing and navigable.  On our last site we had more bars to click on, but it started looking too busy so we redid the entire site.  Thanks for the input though!!

I like a lot.  I found it hard to focus on the text, as I was transfixed by the photos!  (I confess to searching for any of the properties I have actually seen!)  The photo slide show is the most fun, as it gives you a splendid overview of your work in terms of style and appeal.  The angles are all great fun, too.

I like the clarity of the 3 prongs your business is about.  It's clean and clear and very you.  I love it!

Thanks Juliet!  Actually you saw two of these properties... the one with the lemons on the counter was the one across the street from the graveyard and the one with the sofa forefront & leather chairs (floral artwork) in the back ground was one of the downtown properties we viewed (the tiny one with the elevator).

Your new web site looks very nice Melissa. Congratualtions. I'm sure it took a lot of work.
