A new listing, a staging job and some new artwork

On Friday I was officially told that I would be listing several homes for a local custom home builder. After checking out the partially build home that will become our model home to see what the staging needs would be, I realized that the home lends itself perfectly to the coastal theme that I've specialized in for the last several years.

A few weeks ago, I started photographing local area hotspots to use as my art and I'm very excited to actually have them turned into massive posters that will be professionally framed to create a gallery in my staged listings.

I've never used my own photography in my home staging jobs and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they turn out in big print!

Melissa - congratulations on your recent assignment to stage the local custom builder homes. Your photos are exceptional beautiful. Not only are you talented as a stager, but also as a photographer.

Melissa - Huge congratulations are in order!  Oooh, and I love the idea of you using your own photography as artwork.  I've used black & white photographs of local places and used them as artwork in stagings, hung as kind of a gallery.  The photo of the seagulls is perfect.  I bet they'll make great posters and will really add to the coastal theme.

Congratulations Melissa! I think it's great you're bringing in your own artwork. It's that personal touch. The seagulls and bikes are nice beach themed choices.

There's nothing like framing your own artwork!!!  I've just started recording my own music.... kind of the same thing.

P.S. many, many thanks for the heads up on Google+.... incredible results, so far!!!!

Awesome, Melissa.

You have to post photos of the art hanging in the home!  I've also considered doing that with my own photos. I just haven't made the time. Shame on me, I know.
