Tonight I finally had a few minutes to do my SIF stats to fax over to Craig. (I also faxed about 10 of them right before our roundtable a few weeks ago.) I have to say I'm really enjoying the process! It reminds me to keep stats and helps me do this! What I've learned is that my stats are pretty darn good! I can't wait until we get info on how to compare ourselves to others on both a national and local level -- hint hint Craig!
Form copied from SIF homepage for your downloading pleasure...
here's the info I gathered tonight for Craig (End date is based on contract or close date):
House #1 Staging start date 10/08/07 End date 11/26/07 DOM prior to staging? 36
House #2 Staging start date 08/10/07 End date 12/03/07 DOM prior to staging? 0 (this is 2 of 4 units in this townhouse to have sold based on the staging ... the other unit went under contract on 11/08/07)
House #3 Staging start date 10/15/07 End date 10/25/07 DOM prior to staging 145
House #4 Staging start date 11/05/07 End date 12/18/07 DOM prior to staging? 81
I think the form will actually make it much easier to keep track of the stats for our company as well as the purposes it was originally intended for. Thanks Craig! Speaking of which... where have you been lately?

Lori - I actually have no problem putting my agent's information on the forms. The agents I work with are always willing to provide testimonials, etc because they know what I do works for them. If they received a phone call or email regarding the benefit or confirmation of dates, etc would not be an issue. On the contrary, I think to some degree having some system that shows the industry is 'checking up' on our statistics to confirm they are real and not blown up to suit our own needs is a good thing...
Agents have MLS to show stats, the local boards can verify information with legal filings... we have none of that. In a year or two when staging is more popular it will be helpful to show the statistics we've been given are PROVEN and VERIFYABLE.
Thank you Gary ;) I do work with FSBOs sometimes and I just didn't want to put their info down or a brand new REA. That is a choice that I can make later. I do agree with Melissa...
We do need verifiable stats. Absolutely! I too have no problem with the agents that I have been working with. They would welcome the check up actually. They are the ones selling the homes right now.
My hesitancy was with the custom home builders who are trying to bypass a Realtor. Yes, they are finally realizing that after months and months on the market...they may want to show the home as livable space ;) and Stage it. I guess that they are verifiable too. I was just thinking about their depressing stats of DOM so far and adding more statistical inquiry. After all, if the Staging does help sell the home... we can find some happy client to justify it.
