I recently purchased a wide angle lens for my camera. I have a Kodak z740 and I have loved the 10x zoom feature and clarity of photos. I LOVE my camera! I've been a little jealous of some of you with your wide angle lenses. Checking on things I found out that I could have one on mine as well.... finishing up one of my vacants... I thought I would try both of them and see if I could see the differences....
I was standing in the exact same place for all of these photos. All I did was change out the lense. Notice the chair and the windows (particularly up high). What a difference!
The big problem I have is that the lense is HUGE and overpowers my flash... I've tried one of my photo programs and haven't been able to figure out how to brighten the photos. That will take a little work on my part.
I'm just in awe with the difference in the photos. Remember, I didn't do anything but change the lenses. I was standing in the exact same place! My investment, was well worth it... now to figure out my photo programs...

Melissa,
What a difference! I use a professional photographer with a wide angle lens since my pictures never come out half as good as these.
Marci - believe it or not I just added the new lense. If you go to kodak.com and look up your camera it will tell you if they have additional lenses you can purchase! I'm just so excited!
Anthea - that must be expensive & inconvenient. Of course you must have AWESOME photos now & you don't have to figure out how to lighten & brighten..... hmmmmm....
Melissa - Your pics have always looked great, not their is even more to see. If you want to check out a really easy FREE photo editing program check out Picasa by Google. It is so easy to use.
Charlene - I have the Kodak v705. It is easy to use. You can read comments and reviews here.
Shutterfly has the best and easiest FREE photo editing suite I've worked with yet. I don't speak PhotoShop, sadly.
Tthen you can upload wads of pix for the 12 x 12 coffee table albums we were all talking about a week or so ago.
Maureen - Thanks for the link. I think I'm leaning more towards the Kodak camera now. However, I made the mistake of going to another camera shop earlier today and the sales rep told me that the wide angle Canon cameras are much better for interior photos taken in low light levels. Yikes, now what! I guess the more you research something, the more confused you get.
I just finished a large staging project tonight. The before photo was the camera without the new lense... the after had the new lense.... If this isn't worth $120 I don't know what is....
