Speaking Up about Home Staging

What changes can happen when you add a rug, some plants and elbow grease!

This was a stunning home in John's Island, SC.  I'm not sure that the home ever was a primary residence but it was fully furnished and no one was living in it at the time.  The owner, during our consultation, advised that the furniture in the home was pretty much there 'as storage'.  It wasn't the furniture they were currently using in their home, but were hoping we could do something with it in order to stage the home.  Thankfully their agent was savvy enough to recommend staging PRIOR to the property going on the market....

Here are some of our before and after photos....

Unfortunately it was late when we finished and we were unable to meet with the owner or the agent at the end of the job.  I'm hoping they'll be thrilled with what we accomplished and the sale will come quickly!

Melissa: I'm certain they will love it! I'm a huge fan of big, open spaces but they can be tricky to "pars-up" to create sitting areas, dining areas, etc. However, as always, YOU did a spectacular job!

Michelle - Thanks for the positive feedback!  I haven't seen you around much (but maybe that's me)... nice to see you!!

Debra - Yes, big open floorplans are often the most confusing for buyers (and often homeowners in general).  This makes staging that much more important!

Karen - Yeah, I love shots from the 2nd floors!  Which is really kind of weird because I'm afraid of heights... but it does really show off the changes!

What a fun job!  I love the challenge of taking raw goods like this and making them great.  You did a terrific job.

WOW looks terrfic. The original great room looks confused w/ seating. No focal point as you have it now with the fireplace.
