Speaking Up about Home Staging

Recipe for a quick sale - just add paint & a talented stager

Ah, before you think I'm getting all high on myself, this home was staged by my business partner, Bevin Googer.  I actually staged a very similar unit to this one, but she managed to get the seller to do one thing that I could not, no matter how hard I tried, PAINT!

This great little condo downtown has some fantastic detail work that no one was able to see....

Suddenly we are able to notice the crown molding, 6" baseboards and great trimwork detail around the windows and doors....

Unfortunately she couldn't get them to paint every room, but staging did make a tremendous difference in this master suite....

The before is not exactly MLS worthy is it?  There was nothing to look at in this vanilla room...

Feedback from the agent was our favorite part of staging this charming downtown unit....

"You made (insert seller's name) cry, the condo's so beautiful now. She is incredibly pleased. Thank you very much.  I'm pleased too ! Can't wait to get the photos on line. You're the best !   Respectfully,   Tod"

This is a new agent and this is his first staging job.... something tells me that he will be a repeat client!

Melissa - Your partner did a great job!  Such a difference...  :)

Great job, a motivated seller certainly helps as well!

It does make such a difference and very often cuts the listing time substantially.  A recent staging I did in a horrific market caused the seller to get eight offers within two weeks of putting the home on the market.  You can bet he's a believer.

Melissa - What a difference!  Your partner did a great job.  A paint job is an inexpensive way to spruce up a place.

Melissa,

That paint makes all the difference - the staging is wonderful but having that color on the walls puts it a notch above!  Every one gets that the 'lime green' walls need painted over but convincing them to put color on white walls isn't as easy... this is proof to paint those white walls!

Melissa, what a great job and I just LOVE those testimonials where the seller cries tears of joy! Congrats to you & your team!

Great work!  You need to scoop up your client and take him to this condo where they were willing to paint.  What a difference!  I don't think I've made anyone cry yet.  You've given me a new goal.

It is so important in today's market to home stage. Vacant homes spell out foreclosure in most buyers minds. Staged means we dont have to sell for a low ball offer!

Bevin did an incredible job!

Please let her know that I'm featuring her work in the group Staging Before & After Pictures!

As for convincing them to paint - good for her for being able to convince them as it truly made a difference.

Thanks for sharing these photos, Melissa.

Shows what a little paint and a co-operative seller can do.

HI Melissa, the paint really enhances the details in the room. Beautiful work and the client loves it too.
