Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint - Getting ready for a stage
I've picked up several listings for Andy Reynolds Homes, a custom home builder currently building in the neighborhood of Hunters Creek in St Johns, FL. The model should be completed by Christmas and my home staging company will be setting up the model as part of my builder listing services. Over the weekend I purchased several pieces at auction that have great bones, but are a little more shabby than chic.
I was planning on paying someone to paint them for me, but unfortunately, apparently they've gone out of business. I remember that a local luxury consignment store in Ponte Vedra now sells Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint and this might just solve my problems. You see, I was a decorative painter in a former life. I know my way around a paint brush and faux finish. What I hate is prep work. Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint doesn't require any prep work, however.
Over the weekend I will be showcasing some of my transformations. I'm really pretty excited about the process. It's been a long time since I've embraced this side of my personality.
Here is one of my favorite photos from Miss Mustard Seed. I have a very similar dresser and just purchased this amazing yellow paint too. With my background in decorative painting, I'm really hoping I can duplicate it. Of course if I do, it may end up staying in my home, not making it to the model!
